Scholarships
The YMCA is a non-profit organization and depends heavily on paid memberships. In keeping with its Christian roots, however, it is important to make services available to all persons. Some financial aid is available to those who qualify. Applicationsfor scholarships are available at the YMCA and each case is given individual attention. Corporate Memberships Special rates are available to businesses that provide a minimum number of participating employees. Membership Cards Membership cards are issued to each member upon joining the YMCA. Members are required to bring their cards to the YMCA each time they visit the facility. Membership cards are issued to protect members rights and their investment in the Y. Facility Rental The YMCA facility may be rented for special occasions, swimming parties, birthday parties, all-night lock-ins, etc. A party room is available. The entire facility can be reserved for 2 hours to overnight. Call the YMCA at 293-8319 for additional information and reservations. Child Watch: This is a babysitting service available to members and non-members. Let us watch your kids for up to two hours so you can enjoy a great workout! Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings 8:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday evenings 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Registration is ongoing Cost: $3 per coupon/ per visit or 15 coupons for $25. YMCA Meeting Room The YMCA’s meeting room may be rented by the hour or by the day. There is a charge for the use of the room. Call the YMCA at 293-8319 for additional information and reservations. A Few Rules
  • No food or drink beyond the lobby
  • Unruly behavior will result in removal from the facility
  • Bring and use your membership card each time you come to the Y
  • Please do not bring valuables to the YMCA. The Y is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Demonstrate YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
  • While in the YMCA, children 6 and under must be supervised at all times by an adult (18 years or older).
  • Children 7-10 years old must be supervised by an adult (18 years or older) or teenager (15-17) at all times.

YMCA Membership Membership in the Plainview YMCA is open to all. The YMCA is a member organization and encourages all utilizing the Y to join. To make membership affordable to everyone, every effort is made to keep costs down. Dues are reviewed and adjusted periodically by the board of directors. Payment for memberships may be made via annual payments or monthly bank drafts.
